AFP Houston offers scholarships for 2023 AFP ICON Conference

Three local scholarships and one scholarship from AFP Foundation for Philanthropy are available to local fundraisers planning to attend AFP’s 2023 International Fundraising Conference, ICON, in April.  

Scholarships from AFP Houston
AFP Houston offers three scholarships for its members to attend the AFP ICON Conference. All scholarships grant the recipient free registration and reimbursement for travel expenses.   

Deadline to apply: December 2, 2022  

Scholarship Opportunity #1: Chamberlain Scholarship  AFP Global grants each AFP Chapter one Chamberlain Scholarship to award each year. AFP Global covers the cost of registration while AFP Houston will reimburse for travel to the conference. This scholarship is only available to members who have never attended an AFP ICON Conference before.  

Scholarship Opportunity #2: Chapter ICON Scholarship  AFP Houston will cover the cost of registration as well as reimburse for travel to the conference. The only requirements for this scholarship are that you have an active membership with AFP Houston and you have never received this scholarship before.   

Scholarship Opportunity #3: “Next Gen” ICON Scholarship  AFP Houston will cover the cost of registration as well as reimburse for travel to the conference. The Next Generation ICON Scholarship is to engage young professionals (30 and under, at the time of the conference) who are exploring philanthropy and building their fundraising careers. This scholarship is only available to members who have never attended an AFP ICON Conference before.  

Apply to these scholarships from AFP Houston by December 2.

Diverse Communities Scholarship from AFP Foundation for Philanthropy 
The AFP Foundation for Philanthropy is pleased to once again offer the Diverse Communities Scholarship program for members of diverse/marginalized communities to attend AFP ICON in New Orleans, LA, April 16-18, 2023. The scholarship will include the full conference registration fee + an $800 travel stipend for each chosen scholar. Selected candidates will be notified by email by Dec. 24, 2022.  

Deadline to apply: December 1, 2022

Apply to the Diverse Communities Scholarship by December 1.
