Congregation Emanu El Sisterhood to present panel on nonprofit challenges

Written by Lindsay Tooker

Congregation Emanu El Sisterhood will hold its annual Women’s Day on November 17, presenting the program “Navigating the Future: Challenges Facing Nonprofits.”

The program will feature three leaders in the nonprofit community: Martin Cominsky, president and CEO, Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston; Brian Greene, president & CEO, Houston Food Bank; and Elena Marks, founding president and former CEO, Episcopal Health Foundation. Amy Davis with KPRC TV Channel 2 will serve as panel moderator.

Sisterhood president, Carol Sue Zionts, said the group is “excited to bring together this group of leaders in the nonprofit field to discuss what is happening, due to the unusual and challenging times we live in.” Zionts hopes the discussion helps the Sisterhood “better serve the Houston community.”

The panel discussion will be followed by lunch. To learn more about the event, visit emanuelhouston.org/event/womensday2022 or call the Sisterhood office, 713-529-5771.
