Funder Feature: Enbridge Fueling Futures

Enbridge, Inc. offers grant support to organizations in communities where they operate, including the Greater Houston area.

Enbridge’s community investments are guided by a core set of criteria. They consider donation and sponsorship opportunities in communities where Enbridge operates that are:

  • Primarily within a 20-kilometre (10-mile) radius of their pipeline right-of-way or near their operations
  • Of prime importance to the community
  • Beneficial to the greatest possible number of people
  • Significant to the long-term interests of the community
  • Supportive of their of our three core areas that they view as integral for a sustainable community

The three core focus areas include:
Safe Communities
Enbridge Fueling Futures supports local safety initiatives and organizations that help make our communities safer places to live:

  • Safe Community First Responder Grant Program
  • Safety planning and education
  • Humanitarian aid

Vibrant Communities  
Enbridge Fueling Futures supports programs and projects that are inclusive, future thinking and help bring out the best in people. Their investments focus on:

  • Empowering people to achieve their full potential
  • Building potential in youth
  • Celebrating culture and community
  • Honoring Indigenous Peoples and cultures

Sustainable Communities
Enbridge Fueling Futures supports sustainability projects that help improve, grow, and nurture our environment. Accordingly, they invest in:

  • Environmental education
  • Habitat conservation and remediation
  • Supporting energy transition
