Greater Houston Community Foundation’s Andrea Mayes steps into new role

Andrea Mayes takes on the new role of Senior Director of Charitable Solutions at Greater Houston Community Foundation.

As Senior Director of Charitable Solutions, Andrea will lead business development programs and initiatives for the Foundation, primarily focusing on the stewardship of relationships with professional advisors, including wealth managers, financial planners, estate planners, accountants, and attorneys.

Andrea joined the Foundation in 2020 as the Senior Philanthropic Advisor. Andrea brings diverse nonprofit and corporate experience to the team and is a problem solver with an unyielding commitment and passion for tackling complex issues. Andrea earned a BS degree in Journalism with an emphasis in Strategic Communications from The University of Kansas and an MBA from Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. Prior to joining the foundation, she worked as a Consultant at Sterling where she helped mobilize nonprofits and the people behind them to operate effectively and for the long run.

Since 1995, they have been an impactful philanthropic resource in the community, distributing nearly $2 billion in grants since their founding.
