Houston and Philadelphia food banks competed to raise funds during World Series competition

Written by Lindsay Tooker

Philabundance, a Philadelphia food bank, challenged the Houston Food Bank to a competition to raise the most funds during the World Series.

While the Astros took home the title, Philabundance ultimately won, raising $111,648 to the Houston Food Bank’s $82,795. While this friendly competition will see some Phillies gear making its way to the Houston Food Bank’s offices – courtesy of Philabundance – Houston can be proud to have raised more than $80,000 to #StrikeOutHunger.
