Written by Lindsay Tooker

On December 14, Houston Restaurant Weeks delivered the more than $1.2 million raised during this year’s Restaurant Weeks to the Houston Food Bank.

The donation was raised by the 313 participating restaurants, with B&B Butchers & Restaurant maintaining its 7-year streak for the largest amount raised: $61,940. Other top restaurant donors include Brennan’s of Houston, Traveler’s Table, MAD Houston, Trattoria Sofia, Eddie V’s CityCentre, Etoile Cuisine et Bar, Le Colonial, Pappas Bros. Steakhouse (Downtown Houston), and Eddie V’s West Ave.

Houston Restaurant Weeks is the largest annual fundraiser for America’s largest food bank, the Houston Food Bank. The month-long charity dining extravaganza features specially priced lunches, brunches, and dinners at restaurants from The Woodlands to Galveston. Participating restaurants make donations based upon how many fixed price brunches, lunches, and dinners they sell during the event.
