Memorial Assistance Ministries (MAM) gathered for the nonprofit’s ninth annual fundraising luncheon, “Building Better Together,” on October 13 where they raised $791,025 to support their programs and activities.
The event, chaired by Doris and Terry Looper, recognized long-time Memorial Assistance Ministries supporters Bonnie and David Weekley, and celebrated the organization’s mission to create stable families, a dynamic workforce, and vibrant communities. The Weekleys have been supporters of MAM for last 20 years, helping it become a catalyst for community change.
For nearly 40 years, Memorial Assistance Ministries (MAM) has provided assistance, resources, and hope to individuals and families in the Greater Houston community so they can thrive and realize their full potential. Through their bundled services, they help clients gain skills, resources, and connections that support economic mobility and break multi-generational cycles of poverty. MAM works collaboratively with individuals, foundations, faith communities, and businesses to fulfill its mission of building stable families, a dynamic workforce, and vibrant communities, together.
MAM plans to open a new location in the Heights next month.
