The FORE! charity golf tournament takes place once a year to raise awareness and funds for two local charities: The Periwinkle Foundation, which provides a community of healing for pediatric cancer patients and their families, and the Push-Up Foundation, which advocates for early detection of colon cancer. Aside from a four-golfer scramble, the event includes live and silent auctions and appearances by local charities, including Bill Brown, former commentator for the Houston Astros.

Michael Slabic, the president, and CEO of FORE! and a resident of Cypress is passionate about helping those enduring a cancer diagnosis. He witnessed his longtime friend and founder of the Push Up Foundation fight colon cancer and has seen firsthand how the Periwinkle Foundation heals the lives of pediatric cancer patients and their families.
